Erin Schechtman Caruso is a 2008 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Syracuse University's prestigious Illustration program. She has worked for Darice, Inc. (Pat Catan's) since 2008 as a Staff Illustrator and then award winning Product Designer specializing in children's crafts and toys. Erin has been teaching painting, drawing, and encaustic classes at BAYarts since 2011. Known for her ability to work in many different styles and mediums, Erin enjoys creating artwork in oil and acrylic paint, encaustic (beeswax), mixed media, charcoal, watercolor, and digitally using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Erin spends her free time creating gallery work and shaking up the Cleveland art community as part of the Rust Belt Monster Collective, a group of six professional illustrators who create live, improvised murals. As a member of the RBMC, Erin was named “Best Local Artist" 2013 and 2014 by Cleveland Scene Magazine and “Best Street Artist 2103” by Cleveland Magazine. The RBMC also hosts the Cleveland chapter of the Drink and Draw Social Club: a bi-weekly networking event for artists.
